Missional Focus: {Day 2} World Vision

It makes sense to highlight World Vision today, after talking yesterday about Richard Stearns, the president of World Vision US.

World Vision's mission is this:

"World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human
transformation, seek justice and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God."
 (taken from the World Vision website)

While World Vision is perhaps best known for it's child sponsorship program they are also involved in things like emergency relief, education, health care, economic development, and the promotion of justice among communities around the globe.

World Vision offers so many ways for individuals, families and groups to become involved in giving children, families and whole communities a chance at a brighter future.

It is people walking alongside other people.

It is a chance for God's people to show His love.

And honestly, it couldn't be easier to join in. The hardest part might be deciding in what way you will partner with them!
For more information go here to visit the international website where you can find links to your country's homepage with all the information you could need regarding how you can become involved!

"Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness;
Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so"
